Short Bio

Bernhard J. Berger is a visiting professor of software engineering at the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Rostock. Previously, he worked as a lecturer at the Institute for Embedded Systems at the Technical University of Hamburg. He obtained his PhD in 2022 from the Software Engineering Research Group at the University of Bremen in the field of architectural software security. His research interests cover many areas of software engineering, but in particular model-driven software development, static programme analysis and software engineering for artificial intelligence. Using the open-source software [EvoAl](https://www.evoal.de), he investigates how model-driven approaches can be used to make meta-algorithms such as machine learning and optimisation easier and safer to use. Bernhard J. Berger serves as a reviewer for several national and international conferences, as well as for national funding bodies.
